Don't touch fallen powerlines and don't approach them. Keep everyone well clear and call emergency services on 000. For network faults and street-wide outages, contact your electricity distributor. Once the situation is safe, ring us and we'll deal with the electrical work.
When Something Trips at 9pm, You Need a Sparky, Not a Voicemail.
We answer the phone between 6:00am and midnight, seven days a week. If we're on a ladder or under a house we'll call you back as soon as our feet are on the ground. You get a licensed electrician who can tell you over the phone whether something is safe to leave until morning or needs immediate attendance.
The distinction matters. Some faults are genuinely urgent (burning smells, arcing, loss of refrigeration or water supply on a rural property, medical equipment without power, or an entire commercial tenancy in the dark). Other faults can be isolated safely and attended during normal hours at normal rates. We'll tell you which one you're looking at before we roll a van.
Every emergency job starts with making the site safe, followed by diagnosing the root cause rather than slapping a bigger breaker in and hoping. If parts need to be ordered, we leave the property in a safe, working state until we return with them.

What We Attend Most Often.
Burning smell or arcing at the board.
Power should be isolated immediately. This is usually loose terminations, degraded insulation or a failing breaker carrying heavy load.
Main switch or safety switch won't reset.
A breaker that trips immediately on reset is protecting you from a hard fault on the circuit. Forcing it can cause damage or fire.
Storm damage, water ingress or flooded switchboard.
Queensland storms frequently drive water into meter boxes, outdoor power points and shed sub-boards, causing widespread earth leakage trips.
Commercial machinery or coolroom failure.
When three-phase supply drops a phase or a compressor control trips, stock and trading are on the line. We prioritise commercial downtime.
Dairy, bore or livestock water loss.
On rural properties, an electrical failure at a bore or dairy isn't an inconvenience: it's an animal welfare and production issue that can't wait.
Off-grid or battery inverter shutdown.
When the standalone power system drops out and the generator won't auto-start, the entire property is dark. We diagnose inverter, battery and generator faults.
Emergency Rates Quoted Before We Roll the Van.
There's nothing worse than having an emergency at night and finding out what it costs after the work is done. When you call us, we explain the call-out fee and the applicable hourly rate upfront, before we leave the workshop.
If the issue can be made safe and completed during standard business hours to save you money, we will tell you that honestly. If it requires immediate rectification, we give you a clear estimate of the time and materials involved before proceeding.
